Questions & Answers

Good to know

How long does a project take?

A simple landing page usually launches within one to two weeks. An interactive landing page takes two to three weeks, and a full website depends on scope, typically three to six weeks. You'll get a clear timeline before we begin.

These timelines assume content and feedback arrive as we go, since a project moves at the pace of the information it needs. When details take a little longer to gather, the launch date shifts with them, and I'll always keep you updated on where things stand so a change never feels sudden.

Do I own my website?

Yes, completely. Once your project is paid for, the content, design, and finished website are entirely yours to use for your business. I look after the hosting and technical side so you never have to, but the site itself is always yours.

And it stays yours for good. If you ever decide to stop working together, your site keeps running and you can keep using it indefinitely, with no expiry date and nothing quietly switching off. Because I look after the hosting and technical side, any changes after that would come through me, so you're never left wondering who to ask.

What platform do you build on?

Sites are built on a modern, reliable platform that's fast and mobile-ready. The site code is yours and can be moved to another host if you ever need to, so you're never locked in.

In practice a move has two parts. The site your visitors see, the design and the pages, can be placed with another host and is usually the straightforward half. If your site also stores information or takes payments, that side needs rebuilding and reconnecting in the new place, which is genuine work and the part I'd take care of for you. Either way, you're never stranded.

It's worth knowing that a move is a process rather than a switch. Done properly it takes a little time so nothing goes missing along the way, which is why most clients find the easier path is simply staying put: the site keeps running, stays in good hands, and grows alongside you, with nothing to move at all.

How many revisions are included?

Each package includes rounds of revisions so we land on a result you're proud of, working in stages (concept, then refinement) to keep feedback focused.

Once your site is complete, small one-off edits can be made for a flat fee, and for anything ongoing I'd recommend a Digital Care plan, which keeps updates simple, affordable, and always available. Major scope changes during the build are quoted separately.

What do I need to bring?

Just the basics to start: a short description of your business, any logo or brand colors if you have them, and a few examples of sites you admire. Don't worry if it's not all ready; I'll guide you through what's needed.

How does payment work?

Pricing is transparent and agreed upfront. A deposit reserves your spot in the schedule, and the balance is due when your site is ready to launch. For larger projects, we can arrange milestones. No surprise invoices, ever.

Can you redesign my existing website?

Absolutely. If your current site feels dated, slow, or hard to manage, I can build you a fresh new site while keeping your domain intact. It can carry over as much or as little of the previous look and content as you'd like, from a familiar feel to a completely fresh start. Send me a link and I'll let you know what's involved.

What happens after launch?

Your site is yours to keep and use for your business. After launch, I continue looking after the hosting and technical side so you never have to. If you'd like ongoing support too (basic health checks, content updates, or regular refreshes), the Digital Care plans keep everything running smoothly. You can add care anytime.

Do you handle domains and hosting?

Yes. I'll help you choose and set up a domain and reliable hosting if you don't already have them, and walk you through what's recurring versus one-time. Everything stays in your name so you're always in control.

Still have a question?
